Howdy! I am Monica Miller, Principal at Liberty Middle School. I am excited to continue working with our wonderful community, school, students, and staff here at Liberty Hill Middle School. I have been a part of this supportive community for over 8 years as a coach, English teacher, and now administrator. We truly have the best staff and I love being a part of the family we are building here in this district.

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and a minor in English. I have coached and taught all over the state of Texas for 22 wonderful years. I completed my masters degree in Low Incidence Disabilities from Texas A&M University and received my Educational Administration Certification as well. My favorite subjects to teach were American Literature and Wellness. I was blessed to have successful state champions at various high schools, including Liberty Hill High School, in both cross-country and track. What an honor to see student-athletes excel in what they love.

I am also a proud wife of a Colonel in the U.S. Army and the mother of 3 beautiful blessings, Amelia, Lydia, and Harrison. All of my children attend LHISD and have grown to appreciate what our school district and community have to offer. I not only love my family, but I love what I feel I have been called to do. There is nothing greater than seeing a student grow into a young adult full of potential ready to conquer the world. I know they will cherish their time at LHMS, just as much as I do because Liberty Hill truly is the place to BE THE EXCEPTION!

Hello, my name is Barbara Parsons and I am honored and excited to serve as Assistant Principal at Liberty Hill Middle School. With 18 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege to serve in various capacities at both the middle and high school levels; this will be my first year as an Assistant Principal.

As a result of being a Navy Brat, I have spent most of my life living in Newport News, Virginia. I attended Christopher Newport University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in Leadership Studies. I later earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Washington University.

I am married to my amazing husband, John, and we have two sons. Mikey is 22 years old and Sammy is 17. Because the boys are older now, we spend a great deal of time entertaining and spoiling our three dogs—Saz, Bron, and Manny. In my free time, I love to explore the beautiful state of Texas and visit different towns or find a new trail to hike or bike.

I am passionate about working with young people and look forward to creating champions in learning, and champions in life.
