It is such an honor to serve as the principal of Liberty Hill Middle School and to be a part of this incredible community. I couldn’t be more excited to be a Panther!
After graduating with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University, I returned to my hometown of Dallas to start my career in education. My years in the classroom were spent in Plano ISD, where I served as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher before moving to Leander ISD to pursue campus leadership. I served as a high school Assistant Principal for four years and then stepped into the role of Associate Principal for three years. Each step of my journey has strengthened my ability to provide stability and support staff in order to create opportunities for every student to maximize their potential.
As Principal, I’m excited to partner with our students, families, and staff to establish a school culture rooted in our motto of “Be The Exception.” Together, we will create a learning environment that prioritizes connection before content and builds champions in Academics, Community, and Character.
Outside of school, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our two sons, who keep us busy with baseball and jiu-jitsu. As a family, we love traveling together and making lasting memories. I look forward to connecting with our community and preserving what makes Liberty Hill Middle School so special.
Kelsey Cooper - 6th Grade Assistant Principal

I am excited to join the Liberty Hill community as an assistant principal. Before moving into administration in 2021, I spent 10 years gaining valuable experience in the classroom. I earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in social sciences and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I also hold a master’s degree in educational administration from Wayne State College and an Education Specialist degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Middle school truly has my heart—it may be the only place where students can lose a tooth and grow a mustache under the same roof! I love this unique stage of life and the humor, enthusiasm, and energy students bring to school each day. As a student-centered leader, I am passionate about celebrating every student’s success, no matter how big or small. I am committed to supporting staff as they strengthen their skills and expand their professional toolboxes to meet students’ academic and behavioral needs. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and traveling. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families.
Brent Neal - 7th Grade Assistant Principal

My name is Brent Neal and I am excited to be a part of Liberty Hill MS. I have been in education for 23 years. I was a secondary math teacher for 16 years and coached HS football for 12 years. I earned my Masters Degree from the University of North Texas in 2017 and have been an Assistant Principal for 7 years.
I have 3 kids that have all attended LHISD. My daughter Chani graduated from Liberty Hill HS in 2022 and my oldest son Quinn graduated in 2024. My youngest child Reece is a Junior at LHHS. I have been married to my wife Stephanie for 24 years and she is a nurse at Baylor Scott & White in Lakeway. My hobbies include fishing, reading, and watching my kids play sports.
Emilee Lovejoy - 8th Grade Assistant Principal Intern

Originally from Illinois, I made the move to Texas in the summer of 2022 and have loved calling it home ever since! Outside of school, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, my fur baby, or cheering on a team at just about any sporting event, though hockey is my biggest passion. If I'm not at work, there's usually a good chance I'm at the rink! I have spent the past eight years in education, and I am thrilled to begin my first year in administration as the Assistant Principal Intern for 8th grade. I am incredibly excited to be part of the Liberty Hill Middle School Panther family and look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and community.
